Tell the Story
of Your Soul

Welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here.

It’s often some kind of upheaval in a person’s life that draws them to this sort of reflective, creative work. That’s how it was for me. And during that period of my life, the last thing I needed was someone telling me how I should be and what steps I needed to take to get there. I’d had plenty of that my entire life. In fact, it was pretty much what finally pushed me into my own state of great upheaval.

So do not fear.

Tell the Story of Your Soul is not a course about getting your life right or polishing it into a tidy narrative. You will not be asked to arrive at some verdict about who you are. You will not be asked to judge yourself or justify your choices.

You will simply tell the story of your soul to honor your own becoming.

And you will tell it for yourself.

Your story needs to be told free from the pressure of observing eyes so that you can tell it in freedom and truth. Whether you ever share it with anyone else is entirely up to you.

There is no race to the finish. Your story may take months or even years to unfold. There will likely be more turns in the journey ahead.

Let your soul be your guide.

Be prepared to be surprised.

How This Course Works

There are thirteen sessions in this course, divided into four parts:

  • Module I: Introduction

  • Module II: The Role of the Liminal in the Story of Your Soul

  • Module III: Soul Discovery

  • Module IV: Story Crafting

Module I introduces soul stories and gives an overview of the genre and process. Module II is an exploration of the liminal, where you learn to identify your experiences and responses to it throughout your life. Module III is where you do the deep work, tracing the patterns, turns, and movements of your inner journey. Module IV is where you shape what emerges into some creative form. Words optional.

Rest assured—the interactive reflection sheets are completely privateyour responses are stored only on your own device and are never shared or seen by anyone else—not even me.

Time Required

As you move through the sessions, you'll encounter readings and interactive reflection sheets designed to help you explore the story of your soul at your own pace.

Eleven of the sessions include a reflection sheet that will take approximately 30–45 minutes to complete. The other two sessions — Identifying Your Response to the Turns and Mapping Your Metaphor — include reflection sheets that are designed to be worked through turn by turn in your soul’s journey, and will take significantly longer. Plan for 45–60 minutes per turn for each of these, and plan to return to them over multiple sittings.

You can complete this course over a series of weeks or months, perhaps kicking things off with a weekend retreat. There is no rush to finish.

As for the time it takes to craft your story once you’ve completed the course — that is entirely up to you!

For Group Facilitators

If you are hosting a group, every participant should have their own online account or print journal. If you would like a facilitator guide, you can purchase one here. (The Facilitator Kit is available free of charge through October 20, 2026. If you would like one, please reach out.)

This course is offered in the spirit of creative exploration — a space to honor your story, at your own pace, in your own way.
